1. RISDESK. Numerous Enhancements made to the RISDESK program, including: enabling access to the upload and other functions on the main form, revising the property selection checkboxes, and adding SMS notifications.
2. RISPAY Payment Portal. Numerous Enhancements made to the RISPAY program,
including: added processing RISPAY to automatically search for deposits
when starting the RIS program [turn on in Entry Reminder Utility], and simplified
selecting properties with revised checkboxes.
3. PDF Issue. As reported earlier, some newer versions of Windows 11 and Windows Defender are blocking the PDF data import program making the PDF Renewal Lease and other PDF documents unusable. A substitute process is now available using Adobe Reader. The RIS program should automatically detect the issue and switch to Adobe Reader. 4. Check Printing. Added a feature to adjust the memo
line on the check. Setting is located in Utilities – Utilities – Check &
Deposit Settings. We recommend position 3 to start.
5. Entering Deposits. Reinstated the option to
continue entering deposits for the same property/tenant during the deposit
entry program.
6. Vendor 1099 Report. Included in the 1099 reports any credit
card payments to the vendor where the payment has the vendor as the “work
vendor.”
7. Field Codes. Added to the field code list: purchase
price, and lease expiration date + 1 day
8. Investor Report. Fixed an issue with the report.
9. Bring Forward from Prior Year: Added the ability to bring forward numerous other fields to
assist customers who made changes to the prior year after creating the new
year. The list is in the Applied Utilities inside the tenant ledger.

2. Rent Stabilization Rider: Yes,
another revised Rent Stabilization Rider dated October 2024. After the Riders
are installed, you must turn duplex printing on if you choose to use duplex
printing. The screen names are RS RIDER OCT24 TENANT and RS RIDER OCT24 APPLIC.
3. Renewal Lease Form - NYC: Added
new form to RIS.

5. Batch Sending Renewal Leases: The batch process for emailing renewal leases was enhanced
to allow emailing directly without first reviewing. The selection to send
without reviewing is in More Utilities – Email Settings Button. Select Yes or
No to “View Email Renewal before send.”
6. Payment Portal Checkbook Interface: For customers with a company with
multiple properties and multiple checkbooks within the company, we moved and
reworked the process for importing tenant payment portal payments into assigned
checkbooks. More information can be found in our help web.
7. Restricted OverPayment Program: Fixed issues with the program.
8. Excel: Removed
restriction exporting to Excel when Excel is already open.
9. Recurring Charge Bring Forward from Prior Year: Revised this program and moved it
from the property level to the tenant level.
10. Work Vendor: Added
a feature for credit card payments where a work vendor is selected, the program
will prompt you to change the general ledger code. First select the work vendor
and confirm to change the general ledger code.
11. Legal Balance Reports: Fixed
an issue with the Legal Balance Column 1 Report.
12. Viewing Vendor Invoices: When
you select a vendor in the Company Menu and you select to view invoices, we fixed
an issue with viewing prior year invoices imported from AvidXchange.
13. Email Client: In
preparation for issues with Gmail (and other email providers) that will
restrict access to external email clients, we added the Thunderbird email
client as an option.
14. Risdesk Work Order Import: We
grayed out (disabled) the Risdesk work order import during other open processes
to prevent program errors.
15. Invoice Report: We
made a change to the reports Invoices-All and Invoices-All-Plus to move the
invoice total to the ribbon. We also added a new report in the Checkbook
Accounts Payable Form to run the Invoices Report for one selected invoice.
16. Encryption: For
security purposes, we added encryption to all tenant social security numbers
and tenant bank routing information. Restricted access is in Security – “Access
Encrypted Data.” Uncheck the check box to restrict access.
17. Annual Registrations: Restored
SCRIE and DRIE into the registration form.
18. Graphic Service Bill: Added
the tenant number to the excel export. The feature can be turned on or off in
More Utilities – Bill Addressing/Account button.

1. Rent Stabilization New Guidelines: RIS added a new 2-tier successive rent increase selection to the Property Renewal Percentage program. Please follow the instructions on our help website for details [Tenant Information – Renewal Percentages].
2. Rent Stabilization Renewal Leases and Riders: There are new Renewal Leases and
Riders dated March 2023. Please use the new files that are included in your
templates. For the NYC and ETPA Renewal Leases, you should change the Lease
Type selection in Property-Renewal Lease Percentages. Replace the 2022 form
with the 2023 form.
3. Data Encryption: Added
encryption of tenant Social Security Numbers and tenant ACH information. This
was done to secure this information from hackers gaining access to your
computer. For more information, visit our help website [Utilities – Security].
4. Tenant Bills: Added
a bill type named Applied Summary. This bill type will list all open invoices
and the balances due. You must check the box “Eliminate Zero Balances” on the
Tenant Applied Summary Report form once. To print the bills, proceed like
printing other bills but you must use new Plain Paper Extended rent bill form.
5. RPIE Export: A
new commercial spreadsheet was added to replace the former spreadsheet. Also
please note that the Residential spreadsheet requires a number in the months
vacant. The RIS program enters a zero.
6. Email Program: Added
a feature to use BCC to batch notices to enable email blasts to residents in 1
selected property using one email instead of multiple emails.
7. Payment Portal Import Screen: Added a new selection for importing from Zego/Paylease and
Clickpay. You can restrict viewing open invoices to only those cases where
there is an open invoice for billing codes you select. For more information,

12. Tenant Email Consent: Added a form called Tenant Email consent to the template letters pdf forms. In New York State, this consent form is required to be signed by the tenant in advance if you want to use electronic signatures on leases, renewals, etc. for that tenant. RIS does not encourage or discourage electronic signature use.
